Join us for the 11th annual Habitat Home Run, a 5k, 10k, and 1 mile fun run on Saturday, October 24, 2020! Run through our fast, flat, and shady course on our race route in Woodland Heights, Habitat’s partner in Neighborhood Revitalization! All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity’s Neighborhood Revitalization efforts in Woodland Heights

The Habitat Home Run: 5k, 10k, 1 mile run is presented by Great American Title Company – a six-year partnership!

COVID-19 Update:

Race organizers are diligently working with ActNow Promotions to ensure the health and safety of all race participants, volunteers, spectators, and sponsors. We will follow all guidelines set by the City of Springfield and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. We look forward to hosting a live event and will continue to monitor health and safety guidelines leading up to race day!

As this event is a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity and the Neighborhood Revitalization program for Woodland Heights, no refunds or deferrals will be offered.

Race Details:

Pick your distance at the Habitat Home Run with a 5k, 10k, and 1 mile fun run option. Start and finish at historic Lafayette Park (202 E. Atlantic) in the Woodland Heights Neighborhood. A fast, flat, and shady route that has been revitalized by Habitat’s construction team and volunteers; see charming features the Moon City Creative District, and more!

NEW!Virtual Race:

Run or walk at your own time and place while supporting the Woodland Heights Neighborhood!

Participants can complete their virtual race between October 11th-31st. All virtual runners will receive a shirt and medal, which can be picked up at our ReStore between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday starting October 8th. If you are unable to pick up your packet, please contact Kelsey Milholland at kelsey@habitatspringfieldmo.org or 417-829-4001 ext. 116.

Registration:

Register online here, or download a paper registration form: Race Registration Form. To pay in person by cash or check, please visit Habitat for Humanity ReStore at 2410 S. Scenic Ave. Springfield, MO 65807.

One Mile Fun Run: $25 pre-registration; $30 race day (ages 5 and under free)
5k : $30 pre-registration; $35 race day
10k: $35 pre-registration; $40 race day
Register before October 1st to be guaranteed a Habitat Home Run event shirt.

Children under 5 may participate at no charge, but will not receive a shirt or bag. Participants with strollers and walkers should start at the back of the group. Race day registration begins at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24 at Lafayette Park.

Awards:

Overall Winners: Top 3 male and female participants in both 5k & 10k will receive a gift certificate prize.

Age Division Prizes: Open to the 5k & 10k, male and female participants. Awards for first, second, and third place.

Age groups: <14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Award Ceremony Details:

After the race, stick around for our awards ceremony! We’ll have great refreshments in Lafayette Park!

Packet Pick Up:

Collect your race packet at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020. Your packet will include vendor goodie bags, an event shirt, race bib, and race day instructions. Packet pick up is also available on-site from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Lafayette Park – 202 E. Atlantic.

Parking:

Parking for race participants can be found in designated parking lots at Reed Academy, Woodland Heights Presbyterian, and at the Springfield Dream Center. Volunteers will be available to direct parking. Additional parking can be found alongside the streets. Review the Race Map to see designated lots.

Volunteers:

More than 100 volunteers are needed to support the 11th annual Habitat Home Run! All volunteers will receive a FREE volunteer shirt from Habitat for Humanity!
