Women Build 2024 logo
President Jimmy Carter declared the first National Women’s Week in 1980 building on the first known Women’s History Week started in Sonoma, California, in 1978. Congress passed a law proclaiming the month of March as Women’s History Month across the U.S. in 1987.

The first full week in March is also Women in Construction Week started by the National Association of Women in Construction in 1953 to recognize the role women play in the industry and highlight it as an avenue for careers and success. In addition to actually helping build a house for a deserving family, the National Week of Women in Construction is intended to shine the spotlight on women building, investing, and advocating for decent and affordable housing around the world.

Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri is proud to be partnering with many companies in our own community in support of this effort! We will be bringing nearly 200 women together to propel 2 homes currently under construction closer to completion for an entire week! Don't miss out on this exciting event with proceeds from sponsorships and individual ticket sales all going toward the materials necessary to continue building safe, stable, affordable homes in Greene County.

Women Build 2024 is presented by Arvest Bank.

2024 T-Shirts are no longer included after the February 13 deadline.
