About This Campaign
Join our construction crew as they build a home from the ground up for new homeowners that are part of our homebuying program. Volunteers for this project will meet at the location listed for the job they sign up for.
This renovation project is just as fun to work on as a new construction build! The scope of work will vary greatly depending on what the needs of the house are to get it ready for a new homeowner. Where else can you learn things like flooring and siding for free! Grab a friend and come on out to help renovate this great home for a fantastic family.
Varies by project
Individual, Group, and Corporate volunteer opportunities available. For groups of 5 or more, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, to reserve a private volunteer day for your group.
Our construction crew typically works between the hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm Wednesday through Saturday and on Tuesdays by special request. Their are full day and half day shifts available. We like to limit our construction site volunteers to 10 per shift, so that everyone is able to help out.
Volunteers are critical to our work so we want to share a few volunteer tips to make your experience great:
• Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled shift
• Clothing – closed toed shoes are required on all Habitat for Humanity construction sites. We also suggest you dress in layers as many volunteer projects are outdoors.
• Food and Water – volunteers are encouraged to bring water bottles and a sack lunch if your shift is a full day. Water is provided to volunteers in large coolers.
• Work Gloves and Tools – we will provide all necessary tools and supplies for each construction project. If you have personal supplies you want to provide, you’re welcome to bring your own tools.
